All my clients have paid their bills to our reseller.įor whatever reason, these two resellers are having a billing spat and the top level reseller has decided not to release our domains to be billed by GFI directly. That a direct quote in an email from the folks at GFI. Their response after much conversation was "we are not able to contract directly with customers who came to GFI from one of our partners resellerunless that partner reseller agrees to it". Due to this billing dispute, the top level reseller shut down all the accounts for our reseller, which included all of my clients. Very strange, but our reseller goes through another reseller before GFI. The ultimate cause turned out to be a billing dispute between the reseller that sold us the service and his reseller. My clients are all in good standing from a billing perspective yet a few days ago, they had their service shut off without warning. It used to be called Katharion before GFI purchased them. One client has used the service for somewhere around years. I'm the owner of an IT consulting company and I've been using this product heavily with many of my clients. Do not use this product! If you do, despite being in good standing with your bills, you can have your service permanently disconnected without notice of any kind! GFI service agreements can cause your service to be permanently disconnected despite being in good standing with their billing. I can't say I can recommend this company anymore - their products may work, but that company is broken. Now I get an invoice, every month and impotent threats to send me to collections - irrespective of how many times I inform them that I never signed up for anything beyond trial. That's when the invoices began - the highlight of which was when they sent me an e-mail requesting my invoice to 'update their records'. I declined to purchase their product and reset DNS entries. Worked well, and I was happy with what I saw but the annual pricing didn't make fiscal sense. What happened to this company? I signed up for a trial spam filter service Redirecting my MX info to their machines, allowing 'clean' e-mail through to mine.
